Through the advocacy of Ma Jaya, and the work of Kashi's service organization, The River Fund, we have worked with the gay community and people with AIDS since the early 80's. We have personally known and worked with hundreds of people who have died of AIDS, and many more who are still living with the disease. We are very aware that the rates of HIV infection have not slowed down, despite the decrease in AIDS related deaths. We work specifically with the gay community through Kashi Rainbow.
