Ma Jaya is widely recognized as an artist and author as well as a spiritual teacher. Like the sacred river, Ma's creativity takes many forms, including spiritual teachings, poetry, and visual art. Ma’s India makes her work available to everyone.
In 1972 Ma was awakened to spirituality by an experience of Christ, who told her "teach all ways, for all ways are mine." She teaches from profound personal revelation, in the tradition of her teacher, Swami Nityananda of Ganeshpuri, and her Guru, Neem Karoli Baba. Ma teaches that God is ultimately beyond words and without form, and yet manifests in countless ways to lead us to liberation. Because of her openness to all ways of knowing God, Ma has been a powerful voice for interfaith understanding and human rights.
Choose from her books, or experience her unique voice through audiotapes and videotapes produced at Kashi Ashram. We also offer examples of her paintings, both as originals and reproductions.
